Nothing is as wretched as a petty mind in the possession of any hint of power, for they will instantly exercise it as a tyrant. They take on all the traits of that abominable being; the greed, the paranoia, an obsession with maintaining what scrap of influence they have, on this pale blue dot, for whatever brief period, seconds in an hour of life. This obsession is all-consuming, even to the point...

I agree, but more is to be said.
And what of the man that seeks to be alone only to wither away? Many of today’s society see no need to make progress. They are relying on the monopoly of the rich and the ingenuity of a few to do what they desire. I do believe the people of today could learn from the past if only they would look and listen to the lessons of yesteryear. Those that declare they are above us came from among us,...

I’ve finally returned, and in all probability, am not going to check my dashboard. 5 days of 300+ blogs… it amounts to the desire to keep my computer alive. In other words, don’t expect me to have a clue what’s going on.

A potent force exists within men. Many forget it, but it exists all the same. Everyone has a talent, a capacity for genius. The failure of the ages, however, is our blindness to our own power. Few men seek it, and we call it courageous, if they’re acknowledged at all. Fewer men find it, we call them brilliant. If we were to find our unique talent, that thing that makes our blood boil, so we...

Oftentimes, the greatest man is not the one of acclaim, the person forgotten by his peers and people. True genius is created by true tribulation, and the grandest sacrifice a genius can ever suffer is to be ignored. When is a lifetime forgotten, a brilliant man lays in store treasure surpassing comprehension. Tesla, still neglected, created radio proper, AC electricity, a staple in all households...

Vacation begins, so I won’t be responding to anything, in all probability. I don’t think the hotel even has Wi-Fi. I have enough queued posts to make it through, and I managed to finish 3 followers posts in that time. Oh, and forgive any spelling errors in the text posts to come, as they were composed rapidly on a mobile device without spell check or review. So, for the time being, I...

Last Physics lab of the year requires you to analyze a movie/show for physical properties? It’s simple- compare Big Mac’s strength under the effects of the love potion vs his normal strength.

Found a style I’m quite comfortable with. It’s based off of this person’s lovely style, though the drawing is still how I do things. It mostly comes down to the brush and shading usage. Anyway, I’m really quite enjoying it, as I’m testing it out on the last few friend sketches I have. They’re going much faster now.

Poe's Lol
((Working on other things atm, but I will get back to normal soon, so have an opinion article instead)) Entirely speculatively, I believe I’ve found one of the sources of trolling- Poe’s Law. Poe’s Law, in short, states that a sarcastic or satirical work will often be mistaken for the real thing unless overtly stated (it was, ironically, written about the Internet in the first...

Note to self: revise and complete “The Brony Contentions,” found here, here, and here. They are terribly old, and need some hard revision (my essay standards are much higher now). Plus, there’s a lot more content at my disposal now. They’re getting massive amounts of traffic, and I don’t want a poor representation there.

Just noticed the tablet settings for brushes and pencils on Photoshop. Like a boss with a -18 perception.

Going camping, plan to use it to refine my style. Hopefully I find a  good pen before disembarkation. Pencils are great, but too soft. Also, the Smile and Seeds of Kindness albums are hanging over my heads, threatening me for not going through them yet…

Historical Headcanon: Carl Sagan and the Knights...
((Random post on alternative views of history, certainly false [and if I do more of these, blatantly inaccurate] Basically, conspiracy theories without any semblance of reason, and mostly for the fun of it. If anyone asserts that these are remotely accurate, I will be sorely disappointed in you, because this is simply not true)) Fact: Carl Sagan wanted to go to space for the express reason of...

I’m in layover until my AP Physics test, which is the last thing I need to bother myself about. (AP English will be simplicity in itself). I’ll finally be able to return to normal development and whatnot. Which means I’ll probably get my Antinova submission done, then answer the questions that’ve been collecting in my inbox (mostly from 8bit).

Random Musing
There are many things I find offensive… Putin, tyranny, falsehood, but something that really burns me: when religion is used for monetary gain, or something to that effect. If there’s a religion-based sales pitch, or a commercial enterprise based on some pure idea, that incurs my anger. Ideas are unadulterated creatures- commercialization and their manipulation seems a blasphemous...

Mother's Day
Don’t forget the person without whom you would have never known life! Here’s a salute to the mothers of the world, in their travails and tribulations, and a thank you, for all the effort they have put into raising each new generation, in resource, in time, in spirit, in mind. Your sacrifices are not forgotten. ~the Bits and Widgets Crew

AP Calc test completed. It honestly was easier than I had anticipated. I am now on layover until I have to get back to school, by which I mean doing nothing, as there is far too little time for anything worthwhile to occur. From the spare time I had during the test, I determined the best classes in DnD 4.0 for the Bits and Widgets crew: Bits: (Wis/Dex) Ranger/Monk/Avenger Veil: (Int/Cha)...

Astronomer
((Last one)) Have you ever looked at the stars? Really looked at them? Through the eyes of an astronomer, an artist? See the stars dress a galaxy, make a laced hem? Or found a nebula, a shawl of mist? What I would give To have the touch of the painter Or the eye of the photographer The ear of a composer That I might capture The marvel that hangs before me To join with my soul And to share with...

Mental Integrity Failing
That was a fun game, considering it was the first videogame I ever played. Anyway, now is crunchtime for me. Any previous excuse to inactivity I had is inconsequential in light of the next few days. Finals start tomorrow, with the AP Calc test. Thursday, I get day 1 of a 3-day calc final on top of that, plus my Physics final, and a Spanish essay. Friday is the AP US History test (more or less...

Banishment Lunar Have I suffered Condemned to an astral body Time have I forgotten Centuries blurred with seconds I don’t fight for freedom I fight for clarity To be conscious an hour more In this cascade of eternal sorrow Mind numb, heart empty I decay on this infernal rock But then the impossible becomes possible I see my lunar cage And I call, words flow into the heavens In rage the stars...

Cinco de Mayo
For those who are celebrating it, have a few fun facts: Cinco de Mayo is a prominent holiday only in the US. In Mexico, it’s only celebrated in local areas, ie the region of Puebla. It’s celebrated at all because the Mexican Army beat off a French incursion at little loss in the Battle of Puebla. The Second Battle of Puebla, 12 days later, was a dramatic defeat. After the Mexican...

Finding X
I found pebbles I rearranged them A mosaic took shape I found sand I ignited it A stained window was born I wrote numbers I gave them meaning In them, reason manifested I heard a sound I added my own Out harmony flowed I saw the stars I aligned them Order came to the constellations I met people We joined together And embraced love.
