The Ivory Tower
((Fun fact- this one is a type of Hebrew poetry called a Chaiasmus)
I live in a tower of ivory
Resplendent home of human knowledge
Here the wise gather to ponder
But my questions turn to us
We men of the tower
What is it we do?
I won’t remain
Locked away
I grieve
But leave
That I may
See life unfeigned
Find out what is true
Let the sophists cower
I’ll find the truth, named...

Starry-Eyed Soldier
How goes the front?
The call echoes, asked to the camp.
Officers speak, naming numbers,
Numb and dead.
Others explain, the changes, tactics,
Why brigade A went here while Brigade B was over there.
I make my own report though it never escapes
My silent mouth.
How goes the front? To a soldier, lowly as me?
I feel alone.
My friends, my family, I miss.
Waste and want clear
People wholly...

Addendum
To my IRL friends who follow me: you’re sworn to secrecy on the project thing. It’s supposed to be as big a surprise as possible.

WARNING: WALL OF TEXT
If you read anything, read what’s below the line.
Just a clarification on this blog’s near future:
-I won’t be doing much the next 2-3 weeks. School’s wrapping up, and as such, it’s time for exams. Once those end, I’ll have a whole mess of time.
-I’m reverting Pepony’s name to Peponi. It makes more sense- most ponies’ names are normal words...

Shroud
((To give myself some time to work, I’m going to queue a few poems I wrote for the next few days, then I’ll finally publish the Lich story))
What happened to my starry sky?
Dark world above, strewn with perfect
Orbs of sweet light? Oh night, why now
Do you take an amber haze and
Yellow glow, yet claim it is my
Night? You shone for my forefathers,
Brilliance set before their eyes.
Why...

I Find Myself
henzado:
I Find Myself
I find myself on the edge of a precipice,
Standing on the edge of an open doorway,
I look back on my past:
Experiences, friends, doubts, insecurities, comfort.
I find myself forward into the unknown,
New faces, though friendly approach me.
As the light behind me darkens
And the darkness in front grows light.
I find myself pushed through the doorway,
Over the precipice, away...

Indexing →
I’m here to inform you of a rather brilliant opportunity- the 1940 Census records (US) were released recently, and its up to the masses to index them and record the data stored within. It’s actually rather fun to do, so I’d highly advise you try it out! Follow the instructions as outlined in the above link, starting with selecting the Get Started button.
It’s really quite...

The Da Vinci Complex
It might seem a bit conceited to associate such a grand name with so plain a blogger, but the Da Vinci Complex is not ultimately a good thing. Da Vinci, during his life, while he had a glorious multitude of ideas, followed through on fairly few, especially in the field of invention.
What I call the Da Vinci Complex (there’s probably a proper name somewhere, something nice, medicinal,...
Asteroid Miners →
There are some censor bleeps and all, but this video is pretty epic. Sure, the host makes fun of the subject matter, but Neil deGrasse Tyson said it’s legit!
What’s it about? A bunch of rich people deciding- we’re going to mine asteroids.
If the government isn’t going to build us a human empire spanning the stars, then Google will (and in all honesty, I like them more...

Here’s a quick content outline for y’all:
I’ve got one more practice sketch to finish. Then, I’m moving on to some projects I’m doing for friends (I’ll post the lineart and any good quotes here). After that, I’m returning to normal blog content, and since I’ll probably have more time by then, I’ll start doing stories. Which means character...

I have acquired the tablet! Now I just need to adjust and get to full sketch quality.

A Quick Note
I’m abstaining from drawing much on the blog until the tablet arrives, so if you’re waiting for something, that’d be why it’s been delayed so long.
Sorry to everyone about that.
