41. From Vigil’s Log: This Patron bloke began lecturing us on our stay at Provenance. I have categorically no concern for a word of it. He said he had relegated some areas for our “individual refinement and rest.” I don’t know about these other people who have landed in this scenario, but I intend wholly to do the opposite. I will not serve the purposes of Patron, not so long as he holds me here when my homeland burns. I don’t even know if my family lives… if my army is whole… I resolve to deny Patron. I shall study for any method that might permit me to deny him so, when he is clearly master of this realm. If he prepared me a mansion, then it shall be mine, and none shall enter save they have a fantastic  cause. My life shall henceforth be devoted to my escape, with or without Patron. Provenance shall never be a place I consider home.
